Description
A Subaru battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your auto.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its principal purpose will be to start the Subaru engine.
The alternator supplies power for the Subaru once the engine is operating.
Normally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to discharge a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and also the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a total discharge.
